Here are some open mic nights I found in London:

Stand Up and Coming - This is a new night in Tufnell Park. Brand new or experienced comics compete for a paid headline slot. This definately is one to check out. For more info visit http://www.myspace.com/standupandcoming or to book a slot email standupandcoming@yahoo.com

The Comedy Café (Shoreditch) - They hold an open mic night every Wednesday. Email info@comedycafe.co.uk for details.

Downstairs at the King's Head - The Legendary Comedy Try Out Night is held at this venue in Finsbury Park every Thursday. Email admin@downstairsatthekingshead.com or just pop along and have a chat with the organisers.

Laughing Horse venues - These guys host the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition. See http://www.laughinghorsecomedy.co.uk/comedy/ for a list of the venues.

The Comedy Store - King Gong, the infamous open mic night, is on the last Monday of the month. You can book yourself in by calling 020 7930 2949 or just be there as members of the audience are invited to get up on stage. For more details you can contact alex@thecomedystore.co.uk
