Problems viewing videos

I have just found this website today. Discovered it on the QI page on Wikipedia and heard there is QI News here.

I have registered, but the videos do not play.

I have the latest Flash downloaded and Javascript is Enabled. What other problems could I be experiencing?

It seems to be impossible to paste any text into the news text box without getting a "Paste in plain text" error popup - even though I am pasting from plain text format.

Video/Audio out of Synch

Hi

We've uploaded two videos so far but the audio and video are out of synch (they're fine in the original WMV files uploaded).

I haven't had this problem with other video sharing sites...

Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a specific comedian and a show he did, found him on a different web page still they give me this address. Jeff Dunham is his name and looking for a show he did, aghemed the dead terrorist. If you can please let me know how I can get hold of it.

Embedding or Linking to videos from other sites

Hi,

Just thought I'd drop a quick note... ComedyBox seems to be missing the option to embed or link to its videos on other sites. As I'm sure you may have noticed, the funwall over on Facebook is spreading like wild fire, and if it maintains its popularity (and I think that app will), then there are going to be a lot of internet video 'memes' spread through that app on that site.

think you're missing out on not only spreading the popularity of your contributors here, but the site itself too.

Looks like an interesting site, I'll be keeping an eye on the adventures of Moog for example, and Mr Veitch's excellent work!

I posted a couple of clips/movies recently. They seem to be somewhere out there on the site (not easy to find) but I can't actually view them. They're both Flash movies. Is that the problem?

A: Please find below the list files and codecs our Comedybox.tv can transcode

File Types: AVI, MP4, Mov, Mpg, WMA, 3GP

Video Codecs: H264, H263, Windows Video, DV, MJPEG, MPEG2 Program Stream, MPEG2 Transport Stream, MPEG4 / DIVX, VC1

Audio Codecs: Windows Audio, MP2, MP3, AMR, AIFF, PCM

The file size limit is 40MB although the smaller the better to enable visitors to the site to watch clips without having to wait for them to download.

Q: Why can't I watch any videos?

A1. To watch any of the clips on Comedybox you need to have flash player 6 or more installed. You can download the latest version from the following link click here (The latest version also allows you to watch any of the clips in full screen!)
